1. Agreement to These Terms
Apex. is an AI-powered legal training platform operated by BARBRI. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you are using Apex through your employer or school, your organization's agreement with us may also apply.
2. Your Account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for the activity that happens under your account. Provide accurate account information, and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use the platform.
3. Subscriptions and Trials
Paid plans begin with a free trial as described at signup. You will not be charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel anytime before then at no cost. Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled from your account page. Plan changes are prorated automatically.
4. Training Content and AI
Apex simulations are educational exercises. AI-generated characters, conversations, and feedback are for training purposes only and do not constitute legal advice. The scenarios are fictional; any resemblance to real matters, clients, or persons is coincidental. Always exercise your own professional judgment, and do not rely on simulation content for real legal matters.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Share your account or resell access to the platform.
- Copy, scrape, or redistribute simulation content or feedback at scale.
- Attempt to probe, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the platform or other users' data.
- Submit content that is unlawful, infringing, or abusive.
6. Intellectual Property
The platform, including its simulations, design, and software, belongs to BARBRI and its licensors. You keep ownership of the responses you write or record; you grant us the limited rights needed to operate the platform — for example, to transcribe your audio, generate your feedback, and show you your history.
7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The platform is provided "as is." We work hard to keep it available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service or that AI-generated content will be error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, BARBRI is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, and our total liability is limited to the amounts you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim.
8. Changes and Contact
